About the Artist
Angela Durst is an American, Evangelical artist. Angela found her love of drawing at a very young age and has been nurturing that passion ever since.
From 2001 to 2005, Angela attended Cornish College of the Arts in Seattle where she studied Fine Art and Design. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2005, with a major in Illustration.
In the summer of 2014, Angela became a Christian. Her faith has had a profound impact on her artwork as well as her creative approach. Angela strives to honor God with her work. She views her studio time as an opportunity to celebrate God’s gifts and connect with Him through prayer.
Angela draws inspiration for her subjects from the natural world as well as her imagination. She utilizes a range of media in order to achieve her vision: alternating between drawing and painting.
In addition to her own work, Angela is very passionate about inspiring and encouraging others. In 2017, Angela founded the Drawing Fundaments Group - a faith-based drawing class for adults.
